2020 has been an incredibly tough year for local caregivers and people living with dementia, who are are among those most vulnerable to COVID-19. Families have lost critical support programs as a result of the pandemic, and continue to endure the effects of isolation during this time.
More than 17,000 Calgarians are living with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia. These are progressive, degenerative diseases of the brain, and there is currently no cure.
Each year, thousands of people reach out to the Alzheimer Society of Calgary for support, care and education. As the numbers grow, your donation can ensure that everyone who needs help can continue to access it. The dollars raised will go into providing essential programs and services urgently needed by members of our community.
I am walking in honour and memoriam of Angela Matthews, beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and aunt. I hope that you will help me keep Gramma's memory alive in any way you are able.
My heart-felt thanks for your contribution!
